The number of visitors to NadiaComaneci.com took an unusual upswing on Thursday, September 13, 2001, two days after the attacks on New York city and Washington D.C.  Mid-week numbers average 150-175, but this past Thursday, the number reached 252.

High traffic days (usually Monday) will generally see 200 visitors.  Days with 230 visitors or more usually coincide with a gymnastics or Nadia related event.

The only reference listed on NC.com to the attack was the loss of University of California at Santa Barbara's head women's coach, Mari-Rae Sopper, as published by IG Online.

Nadia and Bart Conner were both in Oklahoma the day of the attack.

Nadia and IG publisher, Paul Ziert will be flying to Ghent, Belgium for preliminary scouting of the XXXV World Championships, scheduled for Oct. 28 - Nov. 5.
