Nadia Castillo I was born in Mexico in 1977, a year after Nadia's big success in the Olympics. I have always felt this connection to my name and to her, since I was named after her. My mom thought she was the cutest thing and named me after her. I also know that my name means "hope" and I think it applies to both our lives. I currently live in California and will be moving to Houston next year to pursue a PhD in linguistics.
